14 Dec Reestablishment at UCLA
Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity announces the reestablishment of its first chapter at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The Fall 2024 expansion endeavor brings the return of the Alpha Associate Chapter.
“We’re proud as can be to bring Lambda Phi Epsilon back to UCLA,” said International President David Kim. “This is more than just reopening a chapter—it’s about carrying on a legacy that’s touched lives and built leaders for over 40 years. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the alumni and volunteers who poured their time, energy, and passion into making this happen. Their dedication to our values and mission is a true testament to what brotherhood is all about. I can’t wait to see the Alpha Associate Chapter grow and thrive as part of the bright future we’re building together.”
On November 24, 2024, eleven new members at UCLA crossed into the International Fraternity. Alumni who were initiated from 1981 to 2011 along with International Board members, the chartering process overseen by Matthew Wright (NCSU), Nicholas Dang (OSU) and Roy Pan (UCLA) played an integral role in facilitating the rechartering process.
“We’re excited to bring back UCLA as a reassuring associate chapter of Lambda Phi Epsilon,” said Matthew Wright. “These 11 men have already shown great promise and I am proud to have been their educator alongside Nicholas and Roy. I’m certain they will honor the spirit of Alpha Chapter while building their own legacy in this new era. Many thanks to all the brothers who worked to bring the Legacy Founding Class into the brotherhood, from recruitment to initiation. I look forward to seeing them again at Convention 2025.”
The following individuals were initiated into the fraternity:
• Isaac Ho
• Jason Vu
• Jason Wan
• Giacomo Berti
• Samuel Song
• Julyan Rustom
• Camden Sun

Director of Expansion Winston Lee expressed joy in the return of the oldest chapter. “This momentous milestone is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our Expansion Team, alumni, and the support of all mentors who believed in this vision,” says Lee. “The contributions have not only made this dream a reality but also reaffirmed the strength and unity of our brotherhood.”
