Fraternity Welcomes First Graduate Chapter

The International Board of Lambda Phi Epsilon is pleased to announce the establishment of its first graduate chapter.

“Chartering graduate chapters allow us to engage the entirety of our membership and continue to offer them the gifts of brotherhood. Additionally, we grow the fraternity’s reach and impact to our surrounding communities. It is a tremendous step forward for Lambda Phi Epsilon,” says Director of Alumni Services Charles Andrean.

Graduate Chapters enjoy full voting rights under the Constitution, allowing alumni members to have an impact on the Fraternity’s governance, and to bring the wisdom that comes with age and experience to the Fraternity’s legislative processes.

“Our newest chapter is also our first Graduate Chapter chartered since we amended our Constitution to allow for the admission of Graduate Chapters in the House of Delegates,” said International President William Tan. “As the Chapter was chartered in December 2017, they will be eligible under the Constitution to send a voting delegation to our 29th International Convention in Houston, Texas, where they will receive their charter.”

The Florida Regional Graduate Chapter has 31 members and is led by President Van Dao, a Fall 2011 initiate from the University of Central Florida.

“Our objective with this chapter is to foster our legacy and integrate Lambda Phi Epsilon into a household name. We want our alumni to speak proudly of Lambdas to their family to inspire future generations. We want more regions to begin the chartering process for alumni chapters. Lastly, we want to expand our recruitment process beyond the borders of the collegiate level. There are many of those that didn’t get the chance to join our great fraternity during their undergraduate years and we want to be able to give them the opportunity to contribute at a professional level,” says Dao. “This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to work on this chapter and show how our fraternity is truly eternal.”
