Convention 2025: Agents of Change

From June 13th to 15th, over 250 members of Lambda Phi Epsilon (LFE), the world’s largest Asian-interest fraternity, gathered in Charlotte for LFE Convention, themed this year as “00Λ: Agents of Change.” The weekend was a vibrant mix of leadership workshops, heartfelt brotherhood traditions, and forward-looking discussions on the fraternity’s role in advocacy and community building.

The convention’s keynote speaker, Chris Shen—investor, entrepreneur, and LFE alumnus—delivered a stirring address on maximizing the fraternity experience. Drawing from his career in venture capital and law, Shen emphasized the power of networking, resilience, and leveraging LFE’s values beyond college. “Brotherhood isn’t just four years; it’s a lifelong foundation for leadership,” he remarked, urging members to “think like founders” in their pursuits. The International Board honored Shen with the Man of the Year Award.

International President David Kim outlined the fraternity’s progress, noting a return to pre-pandemic membership levels with 465+ new members crossed this academic year. The fraternity also highlighted its financial stability, with sponsorships now managed by the LFE Foundation to support initiatives like convention planning.

NMDP Senior Program Partner Terri Haid announced that the International Fraternity enrolled over 23,000 members into the NMDP registry, resulting in 132 donors who have provided life-saving transplants to patients in need. For the 2024-25 academic year, the International Fraternity added 1,345 new registry members, and 18 life-saving donations were attributed to fraternity-hosted drives. • Loyola University Associate Chapter: 218 registrations
• University of Texas at Arlington: 190 registrations
• University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign: 155 registrations
• University of California Davis Beta Associate Chapter: (120 registrations)
