Be The Cure: Roar 4 Ray

Lisa Joy, co-creator, producer, and director of HBO’s Westworld, is inviting everyone to support the #Roar4Ray campaign aimed at increasing Asian representation on the Be The Match Registry. Featuring special guests Ken Horne and Cao Pham and special messages from Lisa Joy and Yul Kwon. This event is presented by Stanford’s Lambda Phi Epsilon and Pre-Med APAMSA.

LFE Essentials

LFE Essentials is a virtual shop that provides Lambda Phi Epsilon threads while celebrating the talent within our brotherhood. The International Board will sell apparel to brothers near or at cost while offering fundraising opportunities.

Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity Inc. is calling brothers to submit designs for apparel. If chosen, the LFE Essentials team will have the design marketed on the website, printed, and shipped to all consumers. 100% of the profits will go back to the chapter where they can designate it to either dues or convention registration.

To prepare for the moment when we could re-open our doors, the MGM Resorts team worked with medical experts to develop a β€œSeven-Point Safety Plan” that puts your health and safety at the center of all we do. It is a comprehensive, multi-layered approach with guidance from public health experts.

Screening, Temperature Checks & Employee Training

Extensive employee protocols have been put in place including screening questions, employee temperature checks and training programs on health and safety protocols. The venue ask guests to stay at home if they have COVID-19 related symptoms or live with someone who has recently tested positive. Medical and security personnel on staff will be able to assist should a guest develop symptoms while staying at one of our resorts.

Mandatory Masks & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Masks are required for all guests inside public spaces and outdoors on the pool deck with limited exceptions at all MGM Resorts properties across the United States. Employees are required to wear an approved mask while working at one of our properties. Gloves will continue to be worn by employees who require them to do their jobs.

Physical Distancing

The venue has implemented 6-foot physical distancing policies throughout the resort with floor guides to assist and remind our guests. Where this isn’t feasible, the venue has mitigated as best as possible with plexiglass barriers, face shields, or clear signage.

Handwashing & Enhanced Sanitation

Guests to our resorts will find easy access to custom-built handwashing stations and hand sanitizer throughout the property. Although the venue’s cleaning protocols have always been important, they have increased the amount of routine cleaning, with a focus on high-touch surfaces and common areas using cleaning products that meet EPA guidelines.

HVAC Controls and Air Quality

Rigorous measures have been taken to provide as much outside air circulation as the venue can throughout the MGM buildings and guest rooms with air filters that meet or exceed published standards.

Incident Response Protocols

The venue is heavily focused on reducing the chance for the infection to spread on our properties. In the unfortunate event a guest or employee tests positive for the virus, the venue will activate protocols and leverage their trained staff to respond quickly so that exposed areas are thoroughly sanitized. MGM has medical and trained security personnel on staff to respond quickly in the event of an incident.

Digital Innovations

The venue has reimagined several aspects of the guest experience through technology to transition previous processes into contactless options for guests. They are putting the arrival experience into the hands of the customers, enabling them to complete the check-in process themselves, from beginning to end. Guests will no longer need to wait in line, if they so choose. For guests without smartphones or prefer not to use, the venue will support in a line-reduced environment designed with our customers in mind.

This past Memorial Day weekend, our chapter was recognized with awards during our 40th annual Lambda Phi Epsilon Convention! Receiving Outstanding Communications, Outstanding Asian Advocacy and Chapter of the Year, our Spring 19 brother Aldrian Widjaja accepted them on our behalf. We thank our International Board and especially our executive director, our very own Spring 16 brother Zac Antonius! We hope that the knowledge we learned this weekend, the brothers we met and these awards will give us opportunity to grow more as leaders among men.
